Greetings all! I'm Amy Brown, a full-time MSIDC graduate student at Southern Polytechnic State University.
Updates
I've added an archive section for January and February. I'm currently debating whether a long page with bookmarks are better than making the site's hierarchy too deep. It occurred to me that I need to devise a better system for updates to the other pages as well. I hate to add too much bold, so I may try adding an RSS feed. (Who said Web sites weren't complicated?)
I'm slowly updating the sites for the month, but I'm keeping the IDC 6110 Course Element on this page indefinitely.
Microsoft is giving away their design and developer tools (Visual Studio, Expression Studio, etc.) to students and educators. You can read more about this and download the free software here or visit DreamSpark.
Remember how I wanted to embed my presentation in a Web site? Well, it came too late to help me during my first course element, but apparently I wasn't the only visionary. Here's an article that presents 13 new online applications that helps you to embed your presentations.
IDC 6110 Course Element
Over the past two weeks, I've been trying desperately to make PowerPoint 2007 do something Microsoft obviously never intended—embed on a Web site. So to save my sanity I've included two different versions of the course element presentation: a PowerPoint 97-2003 compatible presentation (all the bells and whistles) and a PDF version.
You can download or open these files here:
- PDF version (opens with bookmarks panel)
- PowerPoint 97-2003 (compatible version)
