American Civil Rights Movement

 

 

The American Civil Rights Movement was a time between

1955 and 1965 when African Americans were striving for equal rights with white Americans.

Before that time African Americans were not treated the same way as white Americans.

This website is intended to teach 8th and 9th grade students about a few of the people

involved in the American Civil Rights Movement and the different things these people

have done.
